Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development (CED) is Kentucky’s primary state agency dedicated to encouraging job creation, retention, and new investment across the Commonwealth. The agency supports the growth of businesses of all sizes by connecting them with resources, incentives, and services designed to help start, locate, and expand operations. CED works with entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses, and collaborates with communities, educators, and partners to strengthen Kentucky’s economy. Through a structured ecosystem of programs, workforce development, international offices, and advocacy, CED helps attract investment, expands markets, and foster sustainable economic development across industries such as manufacturing, technology, logistics, and energy. The Cabinet coordinates public–private partnerships and provides guidance to help companies navigate regulatory requirements, access capital, and scale their operations, including KY Innovation and other programs.
